WORKING PATTERN
Full Time permanent: Monday to Friday
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Safety and Compliance support role will be part of a small team that has the responsibility of ensuring that RVL remain compliant with the UKCAA approvals associated with the safe and compliant operation of the company's fleet of aircraft. This role will work under the direction of the Head of Safety and Compliance and will include carrying out compliance audits and safety investigations within the remit of the UKCAA Air Operations and Approved Training Organisation suite of regulations.
This role will also provide administrative compliance support to the Head of Flight Operations in a structured format that will be agreed by all parties. This may include such activities as document review and compliance verification but will not compromise the independence of the audit process.
The role based at East Midlands Airport and may include some out of office hour auditing as required. The employee may also be required to travel as part of the core duties.
Responsible for (including but not limited to):
* Carrying out compliance audits as defined in the RVL audit Programme including Air Operations, Ground Operations and RVLs Approved Training Organisation.
* Acting as a daily focal point for the Flight Operations Safety Team function, assisting with report administration, safety investigation and Safety Management system key responsibilities.
* Ensuring that the UKCAA mandatory occurrence reporting guidelines are adhered to within the organisation.
* Assisting the Head of Flight Operations with administrative compliance duties
* Compiling and preparing safety and compliance data for the mandatory meeting schedule
* Assisting the Head of Safety and Compliance as the companies onsite Health and Safety representation
* Work to on-time task completion, cost, and compliance KPI's
* Performance of other duties as detailed by the Head of Safety and Compliance
Qualifications & Role Requirements:
Essential:
* Must have excellent computer literacy skills, competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
* A desire to learn, develop and achieve within the aviation industry.
* Must be an amenable, team player and able to work without supervision.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Be able to gain a full airport pass. 5 years of references are essential
* Hold a full clean, driving license.
* Maintain a valid passport
* Eligible to work and reside within the United Kingdom
Desirable:
* A recognised compliance auditing qualification
* A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in an operations role within the aviation industry, although full mentoring and guidance will be provided to an enthusiastic individual who has a desire to explore the aviation environment.
* Awareness of UKCAA regulations relating to Air or ground Operations
* Awareness of the Safety Management System methodology within the Aviation industry
