A rare and distinguished opportunity to join the front-of-house team at one of the City of London's most iconic and historic institutions. Working Monday to Friday (no weekends), on various shifts between 07:30 and 18:00, this role offers a stable, sociable working pattern within a refined and ceremonial corporate environment — ideal for an established front-of-house professional seeking a setting where experience, presence and impeccable standards are truly valued.
The Role
- Acting as a distinguished ambassador for the building and the wider organisation, embodying its heritage and values
- Leading guided historical tours of this landmark building — confidently addressing and engaging groups of visitors, clients and VIPs through accomplished public speaking
- Managing the tours inbox and associated administrative duties
- Covering the reception rostrum/allocated desk and assisting with enquiries
- Supporting VIP visits and high-profile events, ensuring every guest's expectations are exceeded
- Maintaining records and working closely with other departments to deliver a seamless, five-star service
- Adhering to all standard operating procedures at all times

- A seasoned front-of-house professional with a wealth of experience and a natural, assured presence
- Genuine gravitas and the poise to represent a prestigious, traditional institution with distinction
- A confident and engaging public speaker, comfortable leading group tours and addressing audiences of all sizes
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional, white-glove service
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage effortlessly with people at all levels
- A calm, tactful and diplomatic manner, with first-class complaint-handling skills
- An exceptional eye for detail and a warm, reliable, courteous demeanour
- Strong written and spoken English and an impeccable telephone manner
- Smart, immaculately presented and at ease in a formal, ceremonial setting
