Onate is a fast-growing specialist real estate lender headquartered in Dublin and operating across Ireland and Spain, with London-based funding partners. We provide real estate finance to property developers and investors, with typical use cases including refurbishment, developer exit loans and “fix-and-flip” opportunities. Our lending spans residential, mixed-use and commercial property.
The business was founded by three serial entrepreneurs with a proven track record, having previously built multiple companies, including two now listed on the London Stock Exchange. Launched in 2021, Onate has completed close to 400 bridging finance loans and secured its position as the market leader in Ireland. Onate opened its Madrid office in early 2024 and has since expanded successfully into the Spanish market.
In 2025 Onate began issuing longer term stabilised loans to real estate investors and expanded its funding lines to include institutional securitised funding facilities.2026 has seen record growth in lending volumes across Ireland and Spain with plans to further increase the loan book significantly over the next two years.
Onate is seeking a Senior Portfolio Analyst to support monitoring, analysis and reporting across its growing loan book. The successful candidate will work closely with the Investor Relations Director to play an important role in portfolio analytics, institutional funding partner reporting, portfolio performance monitoring and the continued development of the company’s reporting and operational infrastructure.
This role offers broad exposure to the full lifecycle of a specialist real estate lending business, working across portfolio management, funding, operations and technology. The successful candidate will collaborate with teams spanning underwriting, servicing, finance and business operations, helping to ensure the business continues to scale effectively.
As a growing business we are looking for someone who enjoys understanding how processes work, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping shape how a growing company operates.
The successful candidate will be analytical, pragmatic and curious. They will enjoy solving problems, working with data and taking ownership of important workstreams. Equally importantly, they will be comfortable operating in an environment where responsibilities evolve, new opportunities emerge and good ideas are welcomed regardless of where they come from. As the business continues to grow, successful employees are given opportunities to broaden their responsibilities and make a meaningful contribution to the organisation.
Depending on experience and track record, we expect to appoint at Analyst or Senior Analyst level.
This role forms part of a growing UK-based portfolio monitoring and reporting function. The successful candidate will work closely with the UK team on a day-to-day basis and be fully integrated into Onate's wider business, based across Ireland and Spain.
At Onate, collaboration is central to how we operate. Despite being geographically distributed, teams work closely together through regular communication, shared projects and company-wide initiatives. We bring teams together multiple times each year, ensuring strong relationships are built across the organisation.
One of the advantages of working at Onate is the opportunity to contribute across a broad range of activities and work directly with experienced colleagues from different disciplines. We believe talented people are capable of far more than a narrow job description, and we encourage individuals to contribute wherever they can add value.
At Onate, we believe high performance comes from working smart, not simply working long hours. We foster a culture of efficiency and accountability, pushing hard when it matters, but avoiding unnecessary late nights or weekends.
Team spirit is central to who we are. We enjoy working together through the highs and lows, celebrate successes within teams and as a wider group, and support one another when challenges arise. With rapid growth driven by the initiative and commitment of our people, there is a high-energy atmosphere across every part of the business.
The role will be based predominantly at our new UK office space in St Albans and will involve significant in-person collaboration as the monitoring and reporting function develops. Working arrangements can evolve alongside the needs of the team and the successful candidate, and are likely to involve a blend of set office days with optional remote working at other times.
