Staff will be responsible for a diverse elective orthopaedics and complex clinical case load.
You will have access to consultants and you will be expected to work collaboratively across the MDT with a wide range of health care professionals.
As an Acute Trust, you will be required to work regular weekends (currently, for full time staff this is around 1 in 4 weekends – one day only) in orthopedic areas. Respiratory on call duties will not routinely be expected, unless the successful applicant has the ability to carry these out – so don't let a lack of respiratory skills put you off applying
We operate an early evening late shift to support day zero mobilisations and discharge after normal working hours.

The Physiotherapy service is part of the Therapies and Rehabilitation Services pathway, which is one of the pathways that together make up the Clinical Support Division at NUH. We are a diverse pathway of AHPs and support staff, employing over 600 staff who work together to deliver the high quality care we aspire to. Our HCPC registered AHP professionals comprise of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and speech and language therapists. We have a Chief AHP to lead us on our strategic direction, and many of the pathway leadership team have pathway AHP backgrounds to support our staff. There are also Practice Development Therapists to support career development for all.

JOB SUMMARY
To provide a quality physiotherapy service to NUH patients in a wide variety of settings which may include the community.
To develop knowledge and skills in the management of in and outpatients in musculoskeletal areas at NUH
To take additional responsibilities for specific projects and the supervision of Band 5 staff, Physiotherapy Assistants and Students where required.
