British Business Bank

At the British Business Bank, we’re committed to making finance markets work better for smaller businesses. Through our UK Network, we work to strengthen local ecosystems and support a more inclusive entrepreneurial environment across the country.

We’re looking for a highly organised, proactive and collaborative Programme Coordinator to join our UK Network team and support the delivery of our pilot Angel Ecosystem Building workstream – with a focus on promoting diversity, accessibility, and high-impact relationships across the angel investing landscape.

THE ROLE
This role supports the delivery and ongoing development of a range of programmes, including the Female-Led Angel Syndication Pilot Programme, the Embracing Diversity Programme, and wider engagement with the UK’s angel investment ecosystem.

As a key point of contact for angel syndicates, delivery partners, and internal teams, you’ll provide essential operational and administrative support. You’ll help coordinate programme activities, manage data collection and reporting, organise events, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that shape the future of early-stage finance in the UK.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is highly organised, and passionate about inclusive finance and stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

* You will liaise with the Female Led Angel Syndicates currently delivering the pilot program
* Collect and report on data and qualitative insights on the progress of their activity.
* Act as a central point of contact for angel syndicates and key stakeholders.
* Manage logistics and communications for internal and external events.
* Lead the co-ordination and delivery of best practice sharing sessions in the pilot.
* Liaise with a key partner on delivery and tracking of a current Embracing Diversity programme.
* Support cross-team collaboration and aligning activities across the Bank.
* Assist with stakeholder engagement and tracking of impact and actions.
Your support will help us with the design, coordination, and delivery of future angel ecosystem and diversity programmes.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are particularly interested in people who can bring fresh perspectives to our work. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Essential:
* A basic understanding of angel investing or the ecosystem in which angel groups operate.
* Experience engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
* Strong organisational and event coordination skills.
* A reliable and detail-focused approach to following processes and managing risk.
* Team-oriented mindset, with experience supporting senior colleagues and collaborating effectively.
* Confidence working flexibly to help the team meet shared goals.
* Familiarity with impact or action tracking methodologies.
Desirable:
* Experience working with or supporting angel syndicates.
* Understanding of the early-stage equity market.
* Experience working with or supporting public sector programmes.
