Imagine This (Your Key Responsibilities):

Driving Strategic Growth:
You’ll take charge of identifying and developing new business opportunities in the UK rail market, with a key focus on Telecoms, SCADA, Cyber Security, and Station Information & Security Systems (SISS). You’ll help shape and deliver a robust pipeline aligned to our Rail Infrastructure strategy.

Customer & Market Insight:
As the voice of the customer, you’ll build trusted relationships with key stakeholders—think of the Big Four, and devolved transport bodies—capturing their needs and influencing the future technology roadmap.

Collaboration at the Core:
Working closely with portfolio leads, bids & tendering teams, and engineering delivery units, you’ll craft win strategies that secure long-term, value-based partnerships.

From Concept to Contract:
You’ll lead proposal development, support pre/post-bid negotiations, and embed customer outcomes into every stage of the opportunity lifecycle. Market and competitor analysis will shape your approach and help us stand out.

Creating Commercial Impact:
Your focus will be on delivering tangible results—capturing quality opportunities, growing revenues, and improving customer satisfaction across key accounts.
What You Need to Bring (Experience Required):

Proven experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles within large-scale technology or project delivery businesses (essential)

Established rail industry knowledge and network—especially with Network Rail and the wider UK rail market (essential)
*
A successful track record in value-based selling and opportunity capture
*
Commercial acumen and high integrity in stakeholder engagement
*
Agile, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
*
Confident communicator and strategic influencer
*
Willingness to travel within the UK when required
*
Degree (or equivalent) in a technical or business-related field (desirable)
*
Experience in UK rail telecommunications and station systems (desirable)
