Multi-Skilled Engineer
Reporting into Maintenance Manager
Shift Pattern: Rotating Days
Role Summary:
To proactively work as part of a multi-disciplined shift team to maintain all assets within the Operational areas to optimise the utilisation of the equipment and to deliver maximum volume at the right quality. Working closely with the Production and Engineering Managers and technicians to provide a rapid response to line breakdowns. Actively identify RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and bring the equipment back into service as quickly as possible as well as actively seeking and identifying cost effective improvements to site assets and equipment, improving efficiency and reliability.
To provide engineering and operational support to the factory and to support asset improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing and implementing a global quality systems strategy that aligns with the organization's overall objectives and
2. Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance using Electrical, Control System, Automation and Mechanical Engineering skill set
3. Participation in all aspects of KHMS
4. To diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical / Electrical equipment
5. Support site Reliability agenda: Identification of failure modes and trends, complete root cause analysis (RCA) processes and drive / deliver the agreed actions
6. Identify life cycle issues and raise these with possible recommendations
7. Proactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activity to deliver key maintenance KPI’s
8. Provide support to and involvement in site Project and Change Initiatives as appropriate
9. Drive situational support & improvements using tools such as SIC boards, 5 WHY & SOC documents, gathering shift report data for continuity across shift handovers
10. Ensure all tasks are risk assessed through site specific or dynamic assessments (DRA)
11. Attend and participate in daily team and handover meetings to ensure effective handover of information across shift
12. Report all maintenance tasks on SAP system as required and to the correct standard
13. Support the planning, critical information collection, organising and execution of works
14. Complete duty rounds asset care, PMs and CBM as required
15. Support asset care / OEE process

17. Electrical / Mechanical Duty Holder
18. Has an active role to play in continuously improving our business
19. Resilience to ensure problems are completed through to the identification and resolution of root cause
20. Support improvement activities / events within facilities and engineering owned areas
21. Understands the impact of own actions and others on achieving site/business objectives
22. Aware of how current performance impacts the bottom line
23. Ability to deliver on the job training (knowledge transfer) to new / existing colleagues and apprentices through creation SMP/SOP’s
24. Health and safety of self and others
25. Complete and submit PPM and Reactive task paperwork accurately and timeously
26. Escort and oversee subcontractors as necessary
27. Raise permits to work

32. A Team Player
33. Proactive in approach to all aspects of work
34. Recognised / Certificated Engineering Apprenticeship
35. Minimum 5 years in maintenance
36. Experience in a Manufacturing Industry
37. Mechanical / Electrical Biased
38. ONC/HNC/NVQ L3
39. IOSHH / Nebosh is desirable
