Our innovative and award-winning Rehabilitation in Complex Psychosis Community Mental Health Service seeks a creative and flexible Clinical Lead Allied Health Professional (AHP) to join our Shared Leadership Team. The Rehabilitation in Complex Psychosis Team, based in Norwich, supports service users with complex and enduring severe mental illness in the Central Norfolk Locality. As a team we are passionate about creative engagement, and empowering service users with complex needs to achieve their Recovery goals. The team is a pioneering multi-agency project, and along with NSFT colleagues (nursing, OT, psychology, psychiatry and pharmacy), we have fully integrated substance misuse support from CGL, social workers from Norfolk County Council, and recovery and peer support workers from Together. As a caseload holding team, we provide rehabilitation support when and where a person needs it – in the community, in supported accommodation, or in-reaching to inpatient settings. The successful candidate will be required to work with other senior staff as part of a shared leadership model including medics, nurses, psychology and social work. You will be a key player in quality assurance and operational oversight for the service. You will monitor the progress of our mental health rehabilitation service, support the proposed expansion to other areas of the county, and will provide supervision and clinical leadership to our AHPs. This is a clinically focussed post with emphasis on ensuring high quality clinical care, provision and outcomes. You will demonstrate excellent clinical skills and will be expected to have experience and advanced knowledge in this area of clinical practice. You will develop clinical pathways that supports effective delivery of occupational therapy within the rehabilitation service. You will be expected to act as a source of advice in the rehabilitation specialism and may be required to support developments in the given area of specialism across the locality. You will provide specialist advice and knowledge and be able to support practitioners with clinical matters and decision making. You will work with the shared leadership team and others supporting safety, performance, and service development and evaluation. You will be involved in supporting governance such as audit and QI, Quality Reviews, SAF, and best practice in line with NICE Guidelines (NG181) and the Royal College of Psychiatrists 'Quality Network for Mental Health Rehabilitation Services’ community rehabilitation standards. This post is hosted within the Central Norfolk Locality.
