Job Description: Field Service and Commissioning TechnicianGreater Boston Area

As a Field Service and Commissioning Technician, you will be part of our dynamic and growing VTG Engineering Services team, which focuses on ensuring that our clients' facilities and supporting equipment comply with current regulatory requirements and are installed and operated in accordance with design and owner specifications.
You will be responsible for visiting customer sites to perform various inspections and quality tests on customer-owned equipment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct testing, certification, and maintenance of clean air hoods (biological safety cabinets, laminar flow hoods, fume hoods, etc.).
Testing and certification of laboratory spaces and cleanrooms.
Conduct inspections and functional testing for a wide array of building systems, including, but not limited to: Air Systems, Cooling Systems, Heating Systems, Plumbing Systems, and Power Distribution.
Complete all required documentation and administrative tasks related to the assigned task.
Requirements:
·2 or 4-year technical degree preferred
·A combination of education, training, and related experience may meet requirements
·Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools
·Experience working in a cleanroom environment
·Experience with the Microsoft Office suite
·Ability to comprehend technical data
·Problem-solving skills
·Willingness to continually learn new services
·Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
·Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Our Field Service and Commissioning Technician must pass an initial background check. Must be willing to travel locally, including some overnight trips – up to one week at a time- and will need a reliable vehicle, such as a truck, hatchback, or minivan. Mileage and parking are covered. There may also be an opportunity to travel to our Pacific Northwest region to train and/or service local customers.
