These salaried and unsalaried school-based training placements allow you to train on the job while working alongside experienced teachers. Many roles begin as Graduate Teaching Assistant positions for a year, with the potential to progress into School Direct or SCITT teacher training routes, often within the same school.
You’ll gain classroom experience, receive structured mentoring, and work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with some routes also offering a PGCE qualification.
