Senior Hire Negotiator/ManagerHitchin£35,000 – £42,000 DOE
NEOS Engineering are partnered with a well-established plant hire business looking to appoint a Senior Hire Negotiator/Manager for their Hitchin depot. This is a great opportunity for an experienced hire desk professional ready to take the next step into a leadership-focused role within a growing operation.
The successful candidate will have strong experience within plant hire, tool hire, powered access, or equipment rental and be confident managing day-to-day depot activity, supporting customers, and driving performance across the hire desk.
The Role:
• Managing daily hire desk operations• Supporting and developing the hire team• Handling customer enquiries and key accounts• Coordinating plant availability, transport, and logistics• Driving utilisation and depot performance• Building strong customer relationships
The Candidate:
• Experience within plant hire, tool hire, powered access, or related sectors• Previous experience as a Hire Controller, Hire Negotiator, Depot Manager, or similar• Strong communication and organisational skills• Commercially aware with a customer-focused approach• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
