Can you create innovative designs under pressure? Are you well organised and able to work to tight deadlines? Do you want your work to support a wider team of people making a difference to the lives of others?
If so, then read on as Worcester City Council are looking for an experienced graphic designer with passion and a creative flair to match.
This is a unique opportunity to work for an ambitious and well-respected council. The role is part time, working 20 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2028.
Based in the heart of Worcester, but with the flexibility to do some work from home, you will be part of the communications team and responsible for helping to promote and support the council’s priorities.
You will be designing everything from posters, leaflets and banners to social media assets, animations, and video graphics and effects. Your work will support a wide range of projects, from helping residents to reduce their waste and recycle to branding new investments and promoting events.
You will need to prove you are proficient in using graphic design and related software including Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Experience using After Effects would also be useful but is not essential.
We expect all our staff to demonstrate commitment to delivering on the council’s commitments to great customer service, openness and accountability, innovation and improvement, and fairness and respect.
