We are looking for a multi-skilled joiner to join our repairs team in Whitby. In this role, you will handle a variety of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks, both indoors and outdoors. Your work will support our commitment to a right-first-time approach, while adhering to our health and safety, customer, and quality standards.
Main Duties:
1. Installing kitchens, windows, doors, skirting boards, cladding, fascias, soffits, staircase repairs, guttering, and other joinery tasks.
2. Working within empty, void, and occupied homes, completing repairs and maintenance to meet business demands.
3. Carrying out minor building works such as brickwork replacement, plastering, small tiling jobs, plumbing, guttering, and glazing.
4. Ensuring your service aligns with our planned operating standards and customer and quality standards.
5. Responding to work-related issues via our communication systems, including PDA or IT systems.
6. Recording work activities, including materials used.
7. Maintaining compliance with health and safety legislation and ensuring the safety of recipients of the service.
8. Assisting in the maintenance and security of plant machinery and vehicles as required.
Additional Notes:
This list is not exhaustive. You may be asked to undertake other duties in line with the role's purpose and grading. You may also mentor apprentices, volunteers, or work experience placements.
Candidate Requirements:
1. In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and repairs/maintenance of buildings related to your trade.
2. NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in joinery.
3. Proven experience in your trade.
4. Full UK driving license (reasonable adjustments will be explored if you have a disability).
