Job Title: Support Worker - Supported Living Location: Market Harborough Contract: Permanent, Full time Salary: £12.71 per hour / plus an additional £11.44 per hour for sleep ins - £26,436.80 per annum - £42,498.56 Shifts: Shifts are 07:00-22:00 / 22:00-07:00 (2:1 and 1:1) Are you passionate about empowering adults with additional needs to live fulfilling, independent lives? We are recruiting full-time Support Workers to join a high-quality Supported Living service supporting adults aged 18–65 with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, sensory impairments and physical disabilities. This is a varied, meaningful role where you’ll work closely with individuals in their home and community, helping them build confidence, develop skills and enjoy new experiences. What you’ll be doing Providing person-centred support in all areas of daily living Supporting with personal care, household tasks, cooking, cleaning and maintaining a safe home Encouraging independence through budgeting, life skills and community access Building positive relationships and supporting service users to pursue hobbies and interests Administering medication in line with policy and supporting health appointments Maintaining accurate support records and following support plans and risk assessments Promoting dignity, respect, choice and inclusion at all times Working collaboratively with families, colleagues and health professionals Participating in sleep-in shifts and working across 1:1 and 2:1 support models What we’re looking for A caring, patient and proactive approach Awareness of learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Flexibility to meet the needs of the service Full automatic /manual driving licence (essential) Ability to work 07:00–22:00 shifts plus sleep-ins (22:00–07:00) Experience in care is desirable but not essential — values, reliability and compassion are what matter most.
