As our business evolves, we are looking to strengthen our workforce with talented and motivated individuals to work from our Northwest Engineering Centre of Excellence and have a number of apprenticeship opportunities available across a range of disciplines.
About our apprenticeship programme:
We work with local colleges and universities to provide accredited, industry-recognised qualifications and training across a range of disciplines. Our Apprenticeship Programme is designed to give you hands‑on experience in the processes, tools and technologies that bring our world‑class military systems to life. You will gain experience across key production and engineering areas whilst working towards a recognised qualification.
During your time with us, you can expect to:
* Learn core manufacturing and engineering principles through practical, on‑the‑job training.
* Support skilled technicians and engineers with real production tasks.
* Gain experience in fabrication, assembly, machining, or inspection (depending on course chosen).
* Learn how to use workshop tools, machinery and digital systems safely and effectively.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities.
* Complete coursework and assessments required for your apprenticeship programme, supported by your team leader.
What we're looking for:
Our ideal apprentice will be able to demonstrate the following:
* A strong interest in manufacturing, engineering and hands‑on problem solving.
* Curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new skills.
* Good practical ability and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A proactive attitude and commitment to personal development.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at a Grade 4/C or above.
