The Role
The Procurement Administration Assistant role involves providing efficient administrative support to the procurement team, managing purchase orders, supplier communications, and handling day-to-day procurement queries. The position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (08:00 – 16:00)
Contract:Full Time & Permanent
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000
The day to day
* Raise purchase orders using SAGE for various departments and ensure timely communication with suppliers and end users.
* Monitor and manage procurement requests and queries via the Procurement helpdesk and inbox throughout the day.
* Handle standing order and car hire requests promptly and efficiently.
* Liaise with business stakeholders and suppliers regarding purchasing needs and resolve pricing discrepancies.
* Manage online sales of warehouse items via eBay and support financial processes by updating invoice discrepancy logs and investigating pricing issues.
* Place approved orders using the company credit card and reconcile monthly credit card statements, along with general administrative support as required.

The Essentials
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, plan, and manage a busy, fast-paced workload
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
* Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Flexible and open to completing a variety of tasks and learning new skills
* Proficient in administration and IT systems, with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of SAGE, EXACT, or ORDERWISE is desirable but not essential
