Job Description
Title: Senior Condition Surveyor (Assets & Building Fabric)
About KBR and the Project: KBR’s Estates Intelligence team are market leaders in the public sector FM Assurance market, providing innovative technical platforms and services to manage estates and supply chains for central government and departmental portfolios.
Your Role: Reporting to the Senior Estates & Technical Services Manager, you will conduct field surveys of the client's estate, managing a program to assess the condition of assets, buildings, and space utilization. Responsibilities include surveying mechanical and electrical equipment, maintaining records of site visits, managing building plans, using KyKloud software for data input, advising on asset renewal, attending project meetings, and updating systems for accurate reporting. The role requires quick asset assessment, identification of critical plant equipment, and occasional ad-hoc duties.
What We're Looking For: Extensive experience in asset surveys, building fabric studies, and space planning; proficiency in reporting M&E asset conditions; knowledge of asset maintenance and the built environment; experience with mobile data capture tools, including iPad apps; ability to amend or redraw building plans; experience with commercial and government asset portfolios; a full clean driving license; good interpersonal, communication, IT skills, and attention to detail. Desirable qualifications include experience in asset lifecycle planning, familiarity with secure environments, and knowledge of Kykloud software (training provided).
Qualifications
Essential:
* Knowledge of building surveying in commercial buildings
* City & Guilds certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and experience in Asset Collection/Validation & BF Surveying
* Eligibility for Enhanced DBS, CTC, and SC clearances
Desirable:
* Membership in a professional body such as MRICS, MCIOB, IWFM, etc.
