Job Description
3. Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accurate financial management.
4. Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary.
5. Support budgeting and forecasting cycles across multiple business units.
6. Monitor and report on capital expenditure, ensuring compliance with approval processes.
7. Partner with stakeholders across departments to provide financial insight and support decision‑making.
8. Lead on month‑end close processes, reconciliations, and journal postings.
9. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
10. Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and support integration following acquisitions or structural changes.
11. Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
12. Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with relevant regulations.
13. Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
14. Assist in the preparation of audit files and liaise with auditors as required.
15. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
16. Provide guidance and support to junior team members in the accounting & finance department.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Management Accountant should have:
17. Part Qualification in ACCA or CIMA
18. Solid experience in either assisting, or producing Monthly Management Accounts
19. Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
20. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
21. The ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments.
22. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
