Unique Opportunity - Procurement Opportunity within the Sports Industry
Procurement Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Indirect) – Global Sports Brand – London – £40,000-£50,000 + package
This prestigious household Sports brand is experiencing rapid global expansion and is investing heavily in their Strategic Sourcing function. The firm has created a new position for an ambitious Strategic Sourcing expert to join their journey and help grow the maturity of the Procurement function.
As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist within this fast-growing team, you will receive personalized training and development from senior sponsors to enable your career progression within 12 months, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within largely untapped Indirect spend categories.
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in contract drafting, negotiating with major global suppliers, and liaising with senior stakeholders and legal specialists.
* Driving compliance and best practices throughout the Strategic Sourcing process.
* Creating RFIs & RFPs to support major multi-million-pound procurement projects, managing complex tenders from start to finish.
* Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement and participating in a tailored development program aimed at promotion within 12-18 months.
Required experience, skills & qualifications:
* Experience in Strategic Sourcing within Indirect categories (e.g., Marketing, HR, Professional Services, FM).
* A degree from a leading institution is essential.
* Started CIPS qualification or fully MCIPS qualified.
* Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and supplier contracts, with significant experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
* Ability to operate credibly and authoritatively in a commercially savvy and highly intelligent environment, engaging effectively with senior stakeholders and legal experts.
