This Assistant Management Accountant role is pivotal in supporting the financial operations of an ambitious and growing Group, offering opportunities to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will support accounting activities, maintain controls over the Balance Sheet, and contribute to improving the control environment across the Group.
More About The Role
* Support month-end processes including review of admin costs, accruals, prepayments, and other central adjustments
* Manage capital expenditure reporting and oversee the fixed asset register
* Assist in reconciling intercompany accounts
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving issues proactively
* Support variance and trend analysis of central costs
* Assist in producing the Monthly Consolidation and Board Pack
* Support external audits and respond to audit queries to ensure timely completion of audits for the Group and subsidiaries
* Assist in preparing annual tax packs
* Work accurately and promptly to meet deadlines
* Participate in ad hoc financial projects as required
More About You
* Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent), ideally with experience in a similar role
* Positive, proactive attitude
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; VBA knowledge is a plus
* Knowledge of Focalpoint and/or Access Dimensions is advantageous
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to use initiative and approach problems proactively
* Valid UK driving license
