Overview
Personal Assistant required for a happy and lively 7-year-old boy who lives in the Camelford area. He is autistic and has some difficulty communicating. He would like someone he can build a positive relationship with and provide him with 1:1 support.
Responsibilities
* Support him with his communication and social skills in the community.
* Engage in activities outdoors in all weather, reflecting his love of nature; his interests include geckos/lizards, music and space.
* Enable him to enjoy activities in his local community and gain independence away from his family.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
* Driver preferred with business class insurance.
* Employed under a private arrangement with the family (not Cornwall Council).
Details
Rate of pay: £12.60 per hour. Hours: 6 hours per week (very flexible). Mostly required at weekends and during school holidays.
