SEN Teaching Assistants – Multiple Roles

We are currently recruiting multiple SEN Teaching Assistants to join a large 3-form entry primary school in central Scunthorpe. These roles will support children entering EYFS and Key Stage 1 in September, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference, working within a supportive and well-resourced school environment that offers both mainstream classroom support and access to an internal specialist provision.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
- Support children with a range of needs including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Non-verbal communication needs
- PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
- Behavioural challenges
- EAL (English as an Additional Language)
- Assist with personal care where required
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Support students both in class and within the school’s internal provision
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have proven experience supporting children with additional needs
- Are confident working with challenging behaviour and complex needs
- Are patient, resilient, and nurturing in approach
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
- Can adapt to different classroom environments and individual needs
- Are comfortable with personal care requirements
