Advanced Technical Trainer – Bus and Coach

Location: Cheshire

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

About the Role

Reed Further Education are working with a leading land-based and technical education provider to recruit an Advanced Technical Trainer in Bus and Coach Engineering.

Due to continued growth within the Engineering department, we are seeking a motivated and innovative individual to deliver high-quality apprenticeship training. You will play a key role in developing the next generation of engineers through engaging practical and theoretical teaching, working with apprentices on block release from their employers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality apprenticeship training aligned with industry standards
• Inspire and support learners through practical sessions, theory delivery, and assessments
• Carry out vocational assessments both on-site and across employer locations
• Work collaboratively within the Engineering department to enhance delivery
• Provide ongoing guidance to apprentices and employer partners
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, safeguarding, and compliance

About You

• Industry experience in Bus and Coach engineering, maintenance, or operations
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline
• Teaching or training experience (qualification desirable, not essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and health & safety practices
• Passion for supporting learners and developing future talent
