Overview
NHS Highland is seeking a Health Care Support Worker on the Island of Colonsay within the Community Nursing Team. The post is to deliver safe and effective care under the direction of the Island-based District Nurse. This is a community-based role; the post-holder may be asked to work flexibly in terms of location to develop and support other areas of the Islands Nursing Community Nursing service if required.
If you are highly motivated, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure, this may be the role for you. You should be an effective team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. IT skills are essential. It would be desirable to have experience in health or social care. Ongoing training will be provided. A driving licence is preferable.
Eligibility and Visa
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Responsibilities

* Support delivery of community-based nursing services and be flexible to cover other areas of the Islands Nursing Community Nursing service if required.
* Desirable: experience in health or social care. Ongoing training will be provided.
