Job Description
The Lola Yamaha ABT Formula E Teamcompetes in the FIA Formula E World Championship, uniting Lola Cars' legendary motorsport heritage, Yamaha’s cutting-edge technology, and the racing expertise of ABT Sportsline.
We are looking for a Junior Performance Engineerto support our growing performance team. This role is ideal for a driven and analytical young engineer who is eager to grow into a trackside performance role. You will work across simulation, Mission Control operations, and tool development, with a clear progression path toward future trackside responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Support simulator sessions and live race operations (starting in Mission Control).
Analyse simulation, simulator, and car data to provide performance recommendations.
Assist senior engineers during race events through real-time analysis and performance feedback.
Help develop and maintain performance tools using Python, MATLAB, VBA, or similar.
Present clear, data-driven insights to the engineering group.
Candidate Profile
Required:
Minimum 1 year of experience in performance engineering in motorsport (e.g., F2, F3, or equivalent).
Solid knowledge of vehicle dynamics and motorsport engineering principles.
Strong analytical approach and attention to detail.
Proficient in motorsport data tools – ideally ATLAS.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to Have:
Experience with simulation environments like Canopy.
Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or VBA.
Education & Background
Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, or Motorsport Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Proactive, curious, and ready to take initiative.
Strong desire to learn and grow into a more senior engineering position.
