A new opportunity to work for a global household business owning many well-known brands. We seek an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join the team.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and oversees key spend areas such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities, with flexibility for candidates with broad indirect category management experience.
Role and responsibilities:
* Develop strategies with measurable outcomes, including annual savings
* Create group-wide category plans to ensure alignment and leverage suppliers
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders to gain buy-in using strong market knowledge
* Build relationships to monitor supplier performance
* Manage supplier risk and performance through reporting and feedback
* Model procurement excellence by embodying company values and fostering relationships
* Deliver strategic projects and ensure optimal service and cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect category procurement within large, complex organizations
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics, and Operations
* Procurement experience in the private sector, ideally in a global company
* Experience managing complex international projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic approach to procurement and supplier management
* Excellent communication skills across cultures and countries
* Adaptability in fast-paced, changing environments
* MCIPS qualification preferred but not essential
