Job Description
Role: Bookkeeper
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours
Rate: £28,000 - £32,000
Location; Based at either Ilkley or Bingley Offices
Core duties for Bookkeeper:
* balancing and maintaining accurate ledgers
* matching purchase orders to invoices
* monitoring expenses and tallying cash receipts
* paying vendor invoices
* monitor bank account balances
* prepare financial statements
* oversee profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheets
* assist with payroll
* pre-payments and accruals
* set up supplier and customer accounts
* deal with customer queries
* provide support on client premises visits
Experience needed for the Bookkeeper:
* strong working knowledge of both Sage and Excel and ideally CIS
* attention to detail
* excellent communication skills
* ideally AAT qualified or part qualified, or bookkeeping equivalent (also happy to consider QBE)
* flexible approach to work
* minimum of 3 years previous bookkeeping experience within practice
