Job Overview
We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Severn Trent Framework based in Sheffield. Location: Sheffield – remote working available, with occasional travel to site required.
Hours: 45 hours per week, with some flexibility on hours if desired.
The role is not eligible for sponsorship certificates.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role in our Commercial team, supporting the delivery of projects across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects within the water industry while developing your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day activities will include:
* Controlling costs, maximizing value, and ensuring quality standards across projects.
* Procuring subcontractors in line with commercial standards to secure best value.
* Preparing accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts and cost‑to‑complete documentation.
* Managing contractor valuations, applications for payment, and final account submissions.
* Collaborating closely with project teams, including engineers, planners, and site managers.
Qualifications
* Holder of a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying with sound commercial knowledge.
* Experience working on complex civil projects within the water industry.
* Excellent organisational, planning, and time‑management skills.
* Experience with the NEC suite of contracts.
* Comfortable working to demanding deadlines and strong IT proficiency.
