We're looking for an experienced Account Manager / Bookkeeper to join a well-established construction business based in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.

The Role
As an integral part of the Finance Department you'll support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth financial processes across the board.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and support with monthly management accounts
Processing supplier payments, invoices, and expense claims
Handling VAT returns and ensuring HMRC compliance
Managing CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) submissions and subcontractor verification
Maintaining accurate ledgers, reconciliations, and financial records
Assisting with cashflow monitoring and forecasting
Managing credit control and debtor reporting
Coordinating with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc reporting and projects
Ensuring financial processes meet internal standards and industry regulations

What We're Looking For
Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration, or account management
Knowledge of VAT, CIS, and general finance processes (construction sector experience is a bonus!)
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office
A proactive team player with a positive attitude
