Job Description:
This is a fixed-term position funded until 31 October 2025. The role is based in the Neaco (Network for East Anglian Collaborative Outreach) Central Team, part of the Widening Participation team at the University of Cambridge. The university leads a collaborative project involving five universities and eight Further Education colleges across East Anglia. The Central Team ensures all partners work towards shared objectives and reports progress to the Office for Students (OfS).
The Neaco Project Administrator will be a member of the Central Team, managed daily by the Neaco Project Coordinator. The primary responsibilities include administering the team's operations, supporting communications, finance, partner coordination, and data management. The role also involves supporting the Central Team and network partners as needed.
The successful candidate will maintain a good understanding of the project, foster effective working relationships across the region, and manage internal and external queries to facilitate collaboration.
Flexible working arrangements are available, including some time in our offices in central Cambridge and travel to partner sites across East Anglia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support for the Central Team's operations.
* Assist with communication strategies and data management.
* Support finance and partner coordination activities.
* Maintain effective relationships with project partners and stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Experience working in an office environment, preferably in education.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
* Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail.
* Knowledge of filing systems and record keeping.
* Ability to manage large volumes of electronic documents efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging with diverse groups including students, teachers, and academics.
* Flexible approach to tasks and working hours; occasional outside-hours work may be required with TOIL compensation.
