🌈 Job Opportunity: SEN Learning Support Assistants (x2) – Primary School, Chichester
A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Chichester is seeking two dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join their team. These roles are to start ASAP for an initial 6-week placement, with the potential for extension following review.
📍 Location: Chichester
🕒 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 15:30pm
📅 Start Date: Immediate
📘 Contract Type: Temporary (initial 6 weeks, placement to be reviewed)
About the Role:
You will be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including complex learning and behavioural needs. Working closely with class teachers and the SEN team, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support
2. Assist with learning activities and classroom routines
3. Support pupils’ emotional and social development
4. Encourage independence and positive behaviour
5. Help maintain a safe and supportive learning space
6. Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to pupil progress reports
Ideal Candidate:
7. Experience working with children with SEN (preferred)
8. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
