Network Infrastructure Engineer £40,000 - £45,000 per year (depending on experience). Birmingham Head Office based with hybrid work options: 9am to 530pm Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with 24 hour on call responsibility on a shared basis. Overview of this role: Responsible for an IT infrastructure (that underpins all business systems) for a large entertainment business with 30 land-based sites, multiple online services, and an entertainment complex. You will have technical understanding for supporting the logical and physical network. Duties: LAN, WAN & WLAN - 2nd & 3rd line support, managing and providing reports, deployment of infrastructure (on prem and in public cloud). Ownership of process, documentation, and technical problems / issues (even when they are passed onto 3rd party suppliers for a final resolution). Working on call 24 hours per day on a shared basis with other IT Managers. Working within Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines and responsible for making recommendations to change SLA's (if appropriate). Responsible for liaison with other members of the IT team to ensure that they are kept up to-date on relevant issues. Manage calls and logging through the current Helpdesk / Knowledgebase System ensuring that all SLA, Training requirement, Hardware Analysis statistics are accurate. Effectively managing the Quality of Service of the Corporate / Gaming network. Technical skills, experience, and qualifications required: LAN, WAN and WLAN networking technologies Cisco Switching SDWAN technologies Enterprise Wireless technologies and components VIP/SIP telephony systems (build, commission & support) Managing networks in cloud (Public Cloud Network Certification is beneficial) ITIL Methodology (of working to manage IT systems and services) In addition to these technical skills, you must also have excellent customer service and communication skills to be considered for this key Network Infrastructure Engineer role with a large entertainment business.
