Principal Consultant – Commodities Consulting

A leading global market intelligence firm (confidential) is looking for a Principal Consultant to join their dynamic team and lead high-impact consulting engagements across agriculture, forest products, and metals, mining, and minerals industries.

About the Role

In this role, you will manage and execute strategic consulting projects for clients navigating volatile commodity markets. You will be responsible for delivering robust research, market insights, and pricing forecasts while developing and strengthening client relationships. This is an opportunity to shape business strategies and help organizations thrive in an ever-changing market landscape.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead and deliver consultancy projects in agriculture, forest products, and metals & mining sectors.
* Provide strategic market research, due diligence, and price forecasting services.
* Manage client relationships and drive business development efforts.
* Oversee project execution, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
* Develop and execute sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities.
* Represent the company at industry events and contribute to thought leadership.


What We’re Looking For

* 10+ years of consulting experience in commodities research.
* Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
* Experience in solution selling and project execution for single-client consultancy work.
* Deep understanding of commodity market fundamentals, pricing, and supply chain dynamics.
* Ability to manage complex research projects both independently and in a global team environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Self-starter with a commercial mindset and a results-driven approach.
* Willingness to travel and engage with global clients.
* Fluency in English (a second language is a plus).
