Location: Bassetlaw District Council, Worksop and Retford areas
Pay: £13.35 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (including some weekends)
About the Role
We’re looking for confident, committed people to join our team as an Environmental Enforcement Officer. The role is straightforward: you’ll spend your day on foot patrol across the city centre and outer boroughs, identifying environmental offences and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to offenders.
What You’ll Do
* Patrol busy areas and outer boroughs on foot throughout your shift
* Challenge and issue FPNs to individuals committing offences such as littering, dog fouling, and fly-tipping
* Record activity accurately in reports and statements
* Educate the public on environmental responsibilities
* Work independently and as part of a supportive enforcement team
What We’re Looking For
* Strong communication skills and professional presence
* Resilience and confidence when dealing with the public
* Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor patrols in all weather
* Reliable, proactive, and detail-focused
* Driving licence preferred (not essential)
What We Offer
* £13.35 per hour, full-time, permanent contract
* 40 hours per week, Monday-Sunday shifts between 8am-6pm
