About the Job This is a key role within the Finance and Payroll team, supporting the Payroll Manager with the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services for a large and diverse workforce. The successful candidate will ensure payroll integrity is maintained while providing clear support to staff and management on payroll-related matters. Duties will include: Assisting with the end-to-end processing of monthly payroll Ensuring compliance with RTI, pensions administration, and statutory requirements Analysing rota information and payroll returns with multiple pay elements Preparing and posting nominal ledger entries and journals Handling payroll queries and offering advice to staff Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of payroll processes and systems Your Skills & Experience Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grades AC), including English and Maths (essential) At least 2 years payroll experience, including RTI, pensions, and handling multiple pay elements (essential) Experience in nominal ledger and journal posting (essential) Proficiency with payroll software systems (essential) Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook and Excel (essential) Excellent organisational abilities, accuracy, and attention to detail Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially For further information on this opportunity, or if you are considering the next step in your career, get in touch with Oliver Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.
