Data Scientist – London or Glasgow | Hybrid

We’re looking for a Data Scientist who’s passionate about innovation, experimentation, and using data to drive strategic decisions. You’ll join a dynamic environment that blends subject matter expertise, digital tools, and modern methodologies to design smarter, scalable, data-driven services.
Location
* Open to candidates based near Glasgow (up to £55k) or London (up to £65k)
Key Responsibilities
* Build, test, and deploy data models and analytical solutions that support transformation and digital service delivery.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uncover patterns, surface insights, and shape future services.
* Apply statistical techniques, machine learning models, and exploratory data analysis to diverse, often complex datasets.
* Communicate findings through visual storytelling, dashboards, and reports tailored for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Contribute to the wider strategy by supporting innovation pilots, data quality initiatives, and automation projects.
What You’ll Need
* Strong experience in Python, SQL, and common data science libraries (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy).
* Experience in developing, testing, and deploying data models in a real-world business setting.
* Comfortable working with unstructured data and navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
* Understanding of cloud-based data environments (e.g. GCP, AWS, or Azure).
* Great communicator who can translate complex analysis into business-friendly insights.
* Passion for solving real-world problems using data and a curiosity for legal or regulated sectors.
Bonus Skills
* Familiarity with generative AI or natural processing tools.
* Experience working in a service-led or consulting environment.
* Understanding of data ethics, governance, and responsible AI use.
