Operational controller (shift work, 24/7)

Job Description

The role


Reporting to an Operations Manager, this role works within a team of seven Operational Controllers operating on a 24-hour rota, 7 days per week. The team have responsibility for the control, monitoring and maintenance records of access to and from windfarm sites by contractor personnel and other parties in accordance with the Wind Turbine Safety Rules. Additional duties include monitoring turbine performance and providing reports to our team of Engineers and clients throughout the day.


The Person

This is a great opportunity to work in the renewables industry; full on the job training will be given. Whilst we do not expect previous experience, to apply, you must have excellent communication skills specifically over the telephone and a proven excellent customer service skills. As this is a safety critical function the successful candidate will be comfortable in challenging the status quo and escalating concerns to ensure that correct procedures/processes are being followed.


Additionally, to apply, you must have good IT skills as there is a requirement to send out basic monitoring reports and excellent attention to detail ensuring that the correct information is being sent out internally and to our clients.
