Registered Care Manager
Full Time - 37.5hrs per week
1 year fixed term contract
£30,000 to £34,000 p/a
(depending on experience)
Working days: Monday to Friday
(with some flexibility required around respite stay periods)
Shalom House is an inclusive, non-denominational registered charity based in St Davids, providing the only palliative day centre support in Pembrokeshire .
We offer clinical and professional support to people with life-limiting illness and the family, carers and friends who care for them. We help people to live well with cancer and other palliative conditions such as COPD, Parkinson's, MND.
Alongside the day centre, when funding allows, there are 24hr respite stays. Both services are led by Registered Nurses who are supported by a team of healthcare assistants who are supported and overseen by a highly invested Board of Trustees. All of whom are dedicated to ensuring the high standards of care are always achieved.
We are excited to be offering the vital role of Registered Care Manager to support the highly dedicated small team at Shalom House to manage all aspects of the day centre and be responsible for the strategic development, growth and operational performance of Shalom House service and staff.
Qualifications:
* QCF Level 5 – (Adult) essential.
* Palliative care experience desirable
* Experience: 5 years in a health care management setting
Requirements:
* Applicants must be registered with or able to register with Social Care Wales.
* Knowledge of Welsh/Welsh speaker desirable
* Driving Licence: Valid driving licence and use of vehicle during working hours is essential
* Enhanced DBS required (cost covered by the employer)

As Registered Manager you will:
· Manage all aspects of the day centre and its services.
· Support the small, dedicated team in the daily processes of the day centre.
· Be responsible for all regulatory compliance.
· Be responsible for the strategic development, growth and operational performance of Shalom House and team members.
· Have overall responsibility for recruitment, retention and CPD of the team.
· Support attendees and their carer's.
· Network with partners in health care to ensure continued referrals to the service.
