Humanities Teacher – Watford

We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Watford that delivers a broad and balanced curriculum within a supportive and inclusive environment. Known for its strong community ethos and focus on academic and personal development, the school is now looking to appoint a passionate Humanities Teacher for a September 2025 start.
The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with specialisms in History, Geography, or Religious Education welcome. There may also be opportunities to teach Key Stage 5, depending on experience.

Role Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in your Humanities specialism
* Teach KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5
* Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities
* Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Prepare students for GCSEs through targeted teaching and revision
* Contribute to curriculum development and department initiatives
* Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
* Maintain effective classroom management and support school behaviour policies
* Participate in school life, including extracurricular and enrichment activities
* Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students

Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification
* Degree in a Humanities subject (e.g. History, Geography, or RE)
* Experience teaching at secondary school level
* Strong subject knowledge and passion for education
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
* A current Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
