Cardiothoracic Theatres has a current opportunity for a Sister / Charge Nurse / Senior ODP and are seeking a high performing, experienced Cardiothoracic ODP / scrub nurse to join our dynamic, innovative and rapidly expanding theatre team.
The department has four busy operating theatres providing top quality, modern facilities for the management of heart and lung disease, enabling our diverse multidisciplinary team to work together to provide a high standard of care for patients across South Yorkshire and the Humber region.
You should have a strong sense of ownership for the department and ensure that you deliver an efficient, safe, positive working environment with a very clear patient focus. You should be honest, straightforward and have high standards. Thrive on the busy nature of the role, love being on top of things and have the drive to keep going when things are tough. Ensure clinical quality standards are achieved by providing inspirational and visible clinical leadership

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
5. RGN Level one NMC / Operating Department Practitioner
6. Evidence of post basic continuous professional development
7. First degree or evidence of working towards one (demonstrating graduate attributes)
8. To have completed the national practice assessor training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
Experience
Essential criteria
9. Ability to lead, motivate and develop a professional team
10. Completion of Band 5 clinical competencies
11. Working towards completion of Band 5/6 advanced clinical and management competencies
Desirable criteria
12. Theatre / Unit level managerial experience – co-ordinator role
