The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of keeping the factory running smoothly. You’ll carry out a mix of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, making sure production lines stay reliable and downtime is kept to a minimum.
This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same — a perfect opportunity if you enjoy problem-solving and working with cutting-edge machinery.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventative maintenance on food production equipment

Respond quickly to breakdowns and get machinery back online

Diagnose mechanical/electrical faults and put long-term fixes in place
*
Work closely with production teams to support output targets
*
Keep clear maintenance records and suggest improvements
*
Always work with safety, quality, and compliance in mind
About You
We’re open to backgrounds — whether you’re an experienced Maintenance or Technician Engineer in food/FMCG, or you’ve built your skills in another sector (automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, military, etc.) and want to move into food production.
Ideally, you’ll have:

Engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or similar)

Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
*
Experience with conveyors, packaging kit, or automated systems (advantageous, not essential)
*
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
