Management Accountant Rushden, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom The Role – Management Accountant As a Management Accountant for our expanding range of companies, you will be tasked with the collation, preparation and provision of senior accounting information and statistical data to the senior management team as well as external bodies including banks, auditors, HMRC and ONS. In addition, you will manage the VAT returns for which a knowledge within this area is essential. Working within our growing accounts team the key purpose of this position is to effectively plan and process timely reporting to senior management to enable continued decision making and planning for the business and wider Group of Companies. Reporting to the Accounts Manager you will contribute to maintaining and developing the further needs of the department. What you will do within the position • Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management. Produce accounting and statistical reports as required. Compile month end accruals ensuring management have accurate costs with which to prepare the periodic accounts. • Provide relevant & timely financial information to the Senior Management team to enable a balanced assessment of the Group's strategy and objectives. • Responsibility for journals and final nominal balances including review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts. • VAT, Import and Export administrative processes and associated payments. • Compilation and online submission of regulatory reports including the quarterly VAT returns/advance corporation tax payments and statutory import declarations. • Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, brokers, bankers and other parties as directed by the Accounts Manager and other Senior Managers. Liaise with external bodies and provide required information. What you will need We are looking for a dynamic level 4 AAT / part qualified individual with a desire to progress. As the successful candidate you will have the utmost respect for handling sensitive and confidential information and must have had practical proven experience within a similar role. This position requires someone who can meet deadlines/targets and have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
