NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday-Thursday 16:30-19:30 and Friday 16:30-19:18. Please note that the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
Your duties will include working within the kitchen and ward areas to deliver efficient, high-quality catering services to patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include taking food orders, serving food at ward level, maintaining cleanliness, replenishing supplies, and using cleaning agents safely following manufacturer instructions. You will need to operate electrical equipment such as the Burlodge Regen Oven and dishwasher. Protective clothing will be provided and must be worn. You will also complete daily/weekly sign-off sheets and HACCP paperwork. Flexibility in routine is required.
