This inpatient rehabilitation setting provides individuals with focused support to achieve their recovery goals, enabling them to regain independence and transition either back home or to a more suitable care setting.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Band 6), you will:
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, rehabilitation support workers, care staff, and social workers. Support the Clinical Lead in guiding and developing the team, including Band 5 therapists, Assistant Practitioners, and Rehabilitation
Main duties of the job:
To provide a specialist Occupational Therapy service for inpatients.
To work within a multi-professional team.
Assess, interpret, plan and implement treatment and care to patients on the stroke pathway.
Wherever possible to reduce in-patient length of stay by promoting and supporting early discharge.
Apply a patient centred approach.
To provide advice and support to Teams.
