The company is seeking a capable Design Engineer who can take ownership of full projects and play a central role in the future of the business. The environment suits someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a visible impact. The Role The Design Engineer will manage full projects from concept through to completion. This includes design work, customer communication, documentation, and supporting procurement activities. Key Responsibilities * Design conveyor systems and material handling equipment, including both full systems and one-off bespoke solutions. * Produce detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D SolidWorks models. * Create Bills of Materials and support procurement of materials and components. * Liaise directly with customers to understand requirements and provide design updates. * Manage complete projects, ensuring designs are accurate, manufacturable and delivered on time. * Support fabrication work by producing clear, accurate drawings for the welding and assembly teams. * Work closely with the small in-house team to ensure smooth project delivery and technical accuracy. Essential Experience & Skills * Strong experience as a Design Engineer in machinery, material handling or conveyor systems. * Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD. * Proficiency in 3D SolidWorks (or ability to transition quickly). * Experience managing full design projects, including customer liaison. * Understanding of fabrication processes; prior exposure to weld/fabrication environments is beneficial
