The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, passionate, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role involves facilitating training and development of nursing/ODP staff, supporting evidence-based practice, and contributing to quality service delivery. The post holder will support policy development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and audit of nursing/midwifery/ODP standards, ensuring compliance with current practices and regulations. The role requires working across UHCW and Rugby St Cross sites.

Key Responsibilities
* Act professionally, developing the role of nurses/ODPs in the best interests of patients and the profession, following professional conduct codes.
* Maintain clinical competence through practice and support staff development.
* Develop and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
* Collaborate with the Lead Nurse for Theatres, Theatre Managers, and Clinical Facilitators to address professional and clinical concerns.
* Act as a clinical role model, fostering effective clinical leadership and facilitating initiatives.
* Continuously improve service quality by staying updated with best practices and fostering a culture of trust and respect.
* Work collaboratively across professional groups to maximize development and interprofessional learning.
* Share good practices and innovations locally and nationally.
* Represent the Trust in external professional groups and network with colleagues from other organizations.

* Liaise with theatre leadership to identify training needs.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate competency-based training programs.
* Support preceptorship programs for new staff.
* Participate in performance reviews and professional development.
* Promote research, evidence-based practice, and clinical audits.
