Summary
Director, Demand & Market Distribution Planning - EMEA. This is a significant retail and wholesale distribution operation, with a large international network of stores and a multi-channel fulfilment capability. The company is profitable, successful and operates within a stable & growing sector. A background in supply and demand planning is critical. Specific industry experience less so, but it would be useful to have worked in FMCG/Toy/Fashion-oriented industry. You will be able to show concrete examples of change & transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* You will lead an established team and take the business through a period of transformation as it invests heavily into new technology to support the supply chain function.
* You will manage a team of supply and demand planners, via a management structure, as well as cross-functional project teams.
* In addition to day-to-day leadership of the team, you will take the lead on business transformation projects and champion continuous improvement initiatives across the end-to-end supply chain.
* Leads with confidence, influencing senior stakeholders and commercial leadership teams to deliver impactful business outcomes.
* Takes ownership of complex commercial operations, resolving issues swiftly and ensuring seamless planning delivery.
Key Skills/Experience
* Experienced in international matrix environments.
* Industry knowledge & application of relevant forecasting models, or FMCG/Toy/Fashion-oriented industry preferred.
* Experienced in shaping demand, taking into account economic indicators and market trends that can impact forecasting accuracy.
* Applies advanced techniques such as demand sensing and neural networks to enhance forecast accuracy and can adapt to market volatility.
* Thrives in international matrix environments, collaborating across regions, functions, and cultures to align strategies and drive unified results.
