Main duties of the job
The successful candidates willhave excellent communication and assessment skills; be resilient, able to work proactivelyand autonomously but also work as part of a team.
Work with our legal team andsafeguarding teams to ensure that the care and support provided is safe, robustand within the legal framework for Deprivation of Liberty and eventuallyLiberty Protection Safeguards.
You will ensure a robust, fairand equitable process is followed in your assessments.
You will ensure compliancewith our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, championservice user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement
Strong person centred attitudeto service delivery; you are friendly, personable, and confident when liaisingwith others.
The post holder will berequired to work closely with Local Authorities and commissioned ICB servicesto ensure the S117 pathway is adhered to. Ensuring a timely informed dischargefrom hospital to placement.
Working closely with localagencies to develop pathways in line with the Mental Health Act.
The post holder will re-assessall new patient placements within initial 6-8 weeks assessment period to ensureplacement suitability and discuss with patient quality and care issues.
Manage highly complex, sensitiveand contentious patient information duringinteractions with legalrepresentatives and independent provider clinical teams where the environment canbe hostile, antagonistic or highly emotive

Thesuccessful candidate will join North Yorkshire Place as part of Humber andNorth Yorkshire ICB and work alongside key stakeholders such as North YorkshireCounty Council, NHSE, Transforming care and Providers in order to workcollaboratively with Colleagues and share knowledge and skills.
The MHVP team work alongside the NHS Continuing Healthcare team and havean excellent collaborative working relationship and are involved in jointtraining and development of the service, alongside other stake holders.
