We are now on the look-out for detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support our finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial operations and allow for the management accounts to be completed in a timely manner each month.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for the following duties:
* Process and verify bank transactions daily, weekly and monthly
* Reconciliation of bank statements
* Managing company cashflow requirements
* Administration, scan and processing of (all) sales and purchase invoices through Xero system
* Collating and processing credit card receipts and monthly reconciliation of statements.
* Calculation of commission and expenses and other related items for Payroll
* Recording and maintenance of weekly boarding figures for directors.
* Collating and processing all sales invoices, including temp / contractor / perm / consultancy / assessment centre
* Assisting Henderson Loggie with any VAT return requirements
* Receipt Bank authorisation payments
* Factor Reconciliation Close Offs online
* Provide all information to HL by deadlines in order that they can produce the management accounts
* Adhering to HMRC deadlines in relation to P32, VAT, Corporation Tax, PSA/P11d, and EMI submissions
* Annual audit
* Any other duties that may rise which require the expertise and knowledge of a Finance Manager
To be successful in this role, the following experience is required:
* Working knowledge of Xero
* Factor/Invoice discounting Bank Accounts
* Accounts preparation
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Excellent accountability and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results with minimal supervision
