A highly respected international law firm is looking for an experienced Senior Public Relations & Communications Specialist to join its Business Development & Marketing team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive PR professional to help shape and elevate the firm’s external profile during a period of strategic global growth.
Working closely with the senior PR lead for the EMEA region, the successful candidate will support the development and delivery of media strategies that strengthen the firm’s reputation across key practice areas and markets. This role involves managing a busy press office, driving proactive media outreach, and collaborating with colleagues across the firm’s global network to deliver impactful communications.
You’ll work on integrated PR campaigns, manage agency relationships, cultivate strong media contacts, and create compelling content aligned with the firm’s objectives. The role requires a confident communicator who can juggle multiple priorities, navigate complex stakeholder groups, and spot opportunities in the evolving news cycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day press office activity, including media responses, press releases, information flow, and award submissions
* Proactively identify and secure media opportunities across legal, business, and industry press
* Build strong internal stakeholder relationships to drive engagement with PR initiatives
* Develop and maintain media relationships, organising briefings and pitching interviews, commentary, and articles
* Prepare partners for media engagement and coordinate formal media training
* Support the creation of integrated campaign narratives and associated materials
* Manage media lists, monitor coverage, and produce meaningful reports for internal stakeholders
* Lead ad-hoc projects to improve operational efficiency and enhance PR output
* Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and media developments
Experience & Skills
* 4–5+ years’ PR experience within professional services (legal strongly preferred), either in-house or agency-side
* Demonstrable success in generating proactive media coverage across varied topics
* Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and how news cycles work
* Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and relationship-building abilities
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Creative thinker with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
